Valérie Beauchamp-Messier, B.Sc., B.I.T.

Valérie Beauchamp-Messier is a marine biologist and vessel operator with over seven years of experience in marine mammal observation, vessel operation, and field research. She earned her B.Sc. in Biology from the University of Quebec at Rimouski, where she developed a strong foundation in marine biology and ecological fieldwork.

Following her passion for marine mammals, Valérie relocated to British Columbia, where she specialized in operating a range of vessels, from open zodiacs to 55-foot passenger boats, supporting marine research and wildlife observation programs along the coast.

At Dynamic Ocean Consulting, Valérie works as a boat operator and junior marine biologist, contributing to field sampling, data analysis, and technical reporting for environmental permitting and regulatory projects. She brings a hands-on approach to every project, combining her field expertise with a commitment to marine conservation and safety.

Outside of work, Valérie can often be found on or near the oceanpaddleboarding, surfing, or exploring the coast with her dog, Keiko.

Valérie is a Biologist in Training (B.I.T.) and a member in good standing with the College of Applied Biology (CAB).
