Laura Park MSc, C. Biology
Laura Park is a Chartered Biologist (C. Biol) with the Royal Society of Biology in the UK with a diverse background in marine biology, conservation, and field operations. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Ocean Science and Marine Conservation, and an MSc in Marine Conservation from the University of Plymouth in the UK where her research focused largely around the distribution and behaviour of marine mammals, and management of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs).
Laura’s experience in the marine environment spans the UK coastline, the wider European setting as-well-as South Africa, Central America, and Canada. She has acted as a Marine Mammal Observer (MMO), Passive Acoustic Monitor (PAM), and operated Acoustic Deterrent Devices on board a variety of vessels. Laura also has experience conducting Environmental Monitoring, Erosion and Sediment Control (ESC) Inspections, and fish salvages for various projects.
At Dynamic Ocean Consulting, Laura applies her technical knowledge and in-field experience to contribute to environmental reporting, field operations, and support regulatory projects across British Columbia and further afield.
Laura is currently in the process of achieving her R.P.Bio designation with the College of Applied Biology (CAB).
