Isabel Gregr B.Sc., Marine Ecology
Isabel Gregr is a marine ecologist with a focus in marine conservation and sustainability. She has worked and been involved in collaborations across academic, government, and NGO sectors, including Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) and the David Suzuki Foundation. Isabel holds a B.Sc. Honours Marine Biology from the University of Victoria (UVic), where her honours research focused on how environmental factors influence the habitat use of fish species in coastal habitats.
Isabel’s professional and academic experience in the marine environment has provided her with a strong background in both coastal and oceanographic field work, ecological data analysis, and written communication. She has worked in aquatic invasive species monitoring, researched the risks and sustainable pathways for expanding seaweed aquaculture in British Columbia, and spent a season collecting biological data from returning Fraser River salmon. Outside her technical skills, Isabel hopes to apply her scientific knowledge to real world contexts that support informed decision making and sustainable outcomes.
At Dynamic Ocean Consulting, Isabel brings her multidisciplinary experience in data analysis, interpretation and research to support environmental and regulatory consulting programs across coastal environments.
