Caitlin Laidlaw RPBio, MES
Caitlin Laidlaw is a Registered Professional Biologist (R.P.Bio.) with a diverse background in marine science, environmental analysis, and field operations. She holds a B.Sc. from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Environmental Studies (M.E.S.) from the University of Waterloo, where her research combined elements of physical and human geography and included three months of fieldwork trekking through the Nepal Himalayas.
Caitlin’s marine experience on Canada’s West Coast spans the public, private, and academic sectors. She has served as a deckhand with the Canadian Coast Guard’s western fleet, worked as an intelligence analyst with Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), and spent several seasons as a marine naturalist on the Salish Sea, fostering ocean literacy and public engagement in marine conservation.
At Dynamic Ocean Consulting, Caitlin applies her technical expertise in data analysis, environmental reporting, and small vessel operations to support marine field programs and regulatory projects across coastal British Columbia.
Caitlin is a member in good standing with the College of Applied Biology (CAB), holding her R.P.Bio. designation.
