Annie Wang, B.Sc. (Candidate)

Annie Wang is an environmental scientist-in-training with research interests in marine invertebrates and fish ecology, invasive species, and ecological conservation. She is completing her final year of a B.Sc. in Environmental Science (Ecology and Conservation) at the University of British Columbia (UBC).

Annie is passionate about field-based research and interdisciplinary science, applying ecological principles to conservation and resource management challenges across marine, forest, and atmospheric systems. Her recent research with the UBC Harley Lab and Hakai Institute investigates predator–prey interactions between invasive European green crabs and native species along the British Columbia coast, incorporating field experiments, mesocosm trials, and R-based data analyses under multi-stressor conditions.

Beyond marine systems, Annie has contributed to diverse environmental projects, including forest health and pest management with the BC Ministry of Forests, air quality monitoring with the Society for Atmosphere Solutions, biodiversity conservation in China’s Bayuelin Nature Reserve, and emissions trading system consulting with the Environmental Defence Fund.

At Dynamic Ocean Consulting, Annie supports environmental monitoring and regulatory projects, bringing a strong foundation in research, data analysis, and ecosystem science to the team’s interdisciplinary work.
